9 year old male umbrella cockatoo. He is very loving and cuddly. Cockatoos generally do not learn to speak much, although he does say a few words and "mumbles." They are known to be the cuddliest birds of all species. "Vegas" was hatched in Florida and was adopted by a couple in Hawaii for 5 years. Underappreciated by them, we obtained him and kept him for the past 4, most of which he happily roamed free in our backyard in Maui. Now we have relocated to California and brought him over. Sadly, he does not have the freedom or the fresh air he once had and I feel badly that I no longer have the time to spend with him. He needs a good and spacious home and someone to love him. I have learned to read his "language" and can tell you how to interpret until you become so well acquainted with him. He is a good bird and I love him. He does have a few things that will drive a person bonkers and I can tell you what they are if you are interested in knowing more about this very special boy.
